What Is The Format Of The GMAT CAT?

Okay, you have made your appointment and are at the test center. How will the test be administered. First you will take part in a tutorial designed to make you comfortable with the computer and the test interface. You will review how to use a mouse and practice scrolling.

The order of delivery is as follows:

GMAT Analytical Writing

Analysis Of An Issue1 Topic30 minutes
Analysis Of An Argument1 Topic30 minutes
(Note that these answers must be entered on the keyboard. The GMAT now discriminates against those who can't type.)
Optional Rest Break5 minutes
GMAT Quantitative - Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency questions will be mingled throughout this quantitative section. Early indications suggest approximately 1/3 of the questions will be Data Sufficiency. The Problem Solving and Data Sufficiency questions are the mechanism used to measure basic mathematical skills (relax they don't go past about grade 10), the understanding of basic concepts, the ability to reason quantitatively, solve problems and interpret graphs. All of this is done in:

GMAT Verbal - Reading Comprehension, Sentence Correction and Critical Thinking questions will be mingled throughout this verbal section. Early indications suggest that approximately 1/3 of the questions will be devoted to each question type. In general the verbal section of the test measures the ability to understand, evaluate and apply what you have read and recognize the basic conventions and rules of written English. All of this is done in:
