MBA Essay and Personal Statement Workshop We know that you are not taking the GMAT for fun. Your end goal is to get admitted to the MBA program of your choice. Every MBA program requires some kind of “admissions essay” as part of the application process. Sometimes it’s called an “admissions essay”. Sometimes it’s called a personal statement. Either way, the opportunity is clear: The MBA admissions personal statement is your chance to introduce the school to you. You will have the chance to demonstrate your leadership potential, accomplishments, vision, energy and anything else … You must take full advantage of this opportunity. “Seize the day!” The trouble is that many applicants either don’t realize the importance of the personal statement or don’t know how to construct it. To put it simply: Sometimes there is nothing wrong with the applicant, but there is something wrong with the application!
