How to Apply to Law School

A Very Quick And Simple Overview.

All the following online sites and references are available from our links page. Please read this full page before going on to the next step.

First - Ontario Law Schools - The six Ontario law schools use a common application form. The application process is now done online through the Ontario University Application Centre. Application materials are available during the summer and the deadline for applications is usually about November 1 for those wishing to start law school the following September. The telephone number for the Application centre is (519) 823-1940. The web address is:

Second - Canadian Law Schools Outside Of Ontario - Obtain application material for Non-Ontario Law Schools by contacting the schools individually. The application deadline for schools outside of Ontario varies. Contact information for them may be found in the LSAT Registration Book (keep reading) or at

http://www.lsac.org.

Third - U.S. Law Schools - You must apply to these schools individually. The application deadline dates vary. Contact information for U.S. law schools may be found at

http://www.lsac.org

Fourth - The LSAT - Complete information about the LSAT (including a sample LSAT) may be found at

http://www.lsac.org

We suggest that you take the LSAT no later than the June prior to the November application deadline. Information about our LSAT Prep Programs is on this site.

Fifth - The Complete Application Process - Learn as much as you can about this as early as you can. You should learn about each component of your application file including references and personal statements. Research the application categories that may be available to you.
