About WeekendPrep.com -

WeekendPrep.com is the One Weekend LSAT course division of prep.com. In most cases the course is run over the Saturday and Sunday of one weekend. In some cases the course is run over one day of each of two consecutive weekends. Our courses have been developed by John Richardson, B.A., LL.B., J.D. As such they have been available since 1979. John Richardson is the author of:

He has both Canadian and American law degrees and is a member of the bars of Ontario, New York and Massachusetts.

Twenty-five years ago, we pioneered the concept of Weekend LSAT Preparation. We continue to do so today.

What Our Course Teaches - The Approach

Our course teaches approach. We teach systematic ways of eliminating wrong answers. We teach the identification of right answers.

The LSAT is not a test of background knowledge. Rather, it is a test of reading and reasoning. The LSAT is administered four times a year (usually in October, December, February and June). It is important that a score on say the June test has the same meaning as a score on the October test. To achieve consistency, every edition of the LSAT must measure the same things in approximately the same ways. As a result, LSAT questions are the "end product" of specific rules of design.

Our course exploits this design requirement. We teach specific principles of approach that will allow you to "identify" the answers to LSAT multiple choice questions. These principles INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

• diagraming techniques
• the recognition of ways that LSAT test designers make wrong answers seem attractive
• the recognition of ways that LSAT test designers make right answers seem unattractive
• the best order to attack LSAT questions
• reading "between the lines" in reading comprehension
• avoiding "clutter" in logical reasoning

How Our Course Is Organized - An Outline - Maximum Efficiency

Obviously the course varies from instructor to instructor. But, a typical course would be organized as follows:

Day 1 - Usually Saturday

9:00 a.m. - 9:15 a.m. - Introductory issues concerning the LSAT
9:15 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Analytical Reasoning I
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Lunch
2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. - Logical Reasoning I
5:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - LSAT Writing Sample

Day 2 - Usually Sunday

9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. - Analytical Reasoning II
10:15 - a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Logical Reasoning II/Writing Sample
1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. - Lunch
2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Reading Comprehension

3:45 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. - During the Sunday afternoon slot, participants will be able to choose between either of:

A. Practice LSAT Administration using a real LSAT; or
B. Additional LSAT training and law school application strategies

Please note that in addition to the lunch break, there will be a 15 minute break in the morning and in the afternoon.

Your Course Materials - Real LSAT Exams To Keep - Online Analysis

Our courses are taught using real LSAT exams. In fact, every participant will receive the book of 10 Actual LSAT exams published by LSAT. (For a description of this book visit the Law Services web site at www.lsac.org). In addition participants will receive online access to complete commentary on these tests. The commentary consists of detailed analysis of each of the 5 answer choices of the 101 questions for all 10 LSATs - a total of 5,050 explanations! In addition, it provides analysis of the reading passages, logical reasoning arguments and diagramming techniques for the logic games!
